Our Story

Otherhood was born from a season of life when I felt pulled in every direction: motherhood, sisterhood, parenthood, neighborhood and all the other "hoods" that come from being a woman. I loved all these roles, but somewhere in the middle of showing up for everyone else, I realized I still needed a version of me that showed up, too. Otherhood is a reminder that there's room for all of it. The roles we carry, the people we love, and the person we are underneath it all.

Otherhood started with a simple problem: I was tired of jewelry that couldn't keep up with my life. Jewelry is supposed to be something you wear, not something you're constantly managing and having to take off.

So we started making pieces that just…stay on. Gold filled and stainless steel, fully waterproof, built to handle every day, not just a photo.

Emily makes our Missionary Bracelets by hand, and this one means the most to us. Every bracelet is color-matched to a real place, wherever your missionary is serving. So it's not just a bracelet, it's a way of carrying someone you love with you.
